This lot was produced by Agri Evolve, based in the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda. Founded in 2016, the company supports approximately 2,000 smallholder farmers across Uganda’s Kasese District . They provide resources and training, along with better market access and support for sustainable farming practices.

The name of this coffee comes from the very first time Agri Evolve attempted a fully washed coffee in Uganda. The trucks carrying the cherries were delayed, putting the coffee at risk of over-fermentation. It was the middle of the night, and to get the cherries to the washing station on time, the drivers put pedal to the metal. Peeling down a rain-soaked mud road, the coffee was literally flying at midnight.

You can expect an extremely lively brew from this coffee, with mountains of juicy berries and floral tea notes backed up by a well rounded body and a soft marshmallow sweetness.

Our speciality coffee is now in sustainable bags - recyclable & made from recycled materials to increase our sustainability! Find out more about how we are working together to deliver passion, innovation and excellence for a changing world here.
